Sail Date: Jan 2016
Cabin: Family Balcony Stateroom

Booked 2 balcony guarantee cabins beginning of January and we were assigned 14226 and 14826 - exactly same location on ship but on opposite sides. No problems with that - we were close to aft elevators and could cross over to the other hallway. Small balcony but doable. Overhang from Garden Buffet blocked viewing stars but also blocked rain (and snow on way back). Very convenient location except when in port as gangway was always forward. No big deal.

We have sailed NCL 4 times previously and always liked the food but have to say we thought the food was much better on this cruise. We didn't go to any shows but went to Fat Cats a lot to see Charlie Love and the Silky Smooth Band. They are AWESOME!!!! Not to be missed.

We don't do shore excursions - we are beach people so just do research and take a cab to the beach. Had a slight problem in Martinique due to Fat Tuesday and getting a ferry back from ANSE-A-L'ANE and needed the assistance of security and police. Have to say we were shocked at the way the locals talk to the police. But we made it back and will rethink leaving ship on Fat Tuesday in any port. Had a problem in Aruba a few years ago too.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Plenty of storage - nice layout. Very comfy beds. Never slept so well on a cruise.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Morningstar Beach - for some reason no one ever came around and charged for lounge chairs. Was breezy enough we didn't need umbrellas.

Tortola

Cane Garden Bay - excellent beach but had lots of clouds and some rain until we walked to cab. Then it got nice and sunny. Figures.

St. Maarten

Water taxi into Phillipsburg is so easy - front row loungers. Can't beat that.

Barbados

Accra Beach - it's the best. Lots of waves and we got a work out jumping thru them for hours. LOVE this place!!!!!

Martinique

Anse-a-l'ane - they had a total of 5 loungers for the whole place. Said they are trying to get more but have to wait. Water was very nice.

Antigua

Valley Church Beach - beautiful but very hard to get in and out of water. Our cab driver on way back - Terry - lives on Lennox in NY 1/2 the time. Great driver and full of info. Found out a driver there several years ago was making up stories about a woman running the country. Terry said that never happened. Will miss this stop next year. The fact that this cruise stopped in Barbados and Antigua is what attracted us to it.

New York (Manhattan)

No problems here.
