We sailed on back to back cruises on January 15th and 25th to the eastern and southern Caribbean. The ship itself is ok, but nothing wonderful. This is the size ship we prefer, not to big, not to small. I expected it to be in a little better shape since it had been in retrofit not to long ago. One elevator was broken the entire 3 weeks. Quite often there was a large crowd trying to get on the elevators and it was easier to get on and go the wrong direction first and then head to our destination.

Centrum activities were usually so crowded that you had to watch from decks above where the entertainment was happening. The theater for the 8:30 shows were standing room only and if you wanted a seat you had to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to showtime. Additional showtimes were either 6:30 or 10:15 depending on the day, neither of which were very convenient for most of the passengers. Outside seating by the pools and other popular places was often full of towels or belongings but rarely people. There were free activities around the ship, but I don’t know how you find out about them. We didn’t find out that the spa had a free sauna area until our second cruise. What other things did we totally miss? It would have been nice on the page you get on the first day, to list the different activities. So often the only things promoted were the things that cost money. Also, many of the seminars were just sales presentations. With a seminar you should be able to go away with new information or else call it what it is.

Dining- We had my time dining, but RC doesn’t seem to know how to make that work. Reservations were basically forced, which was ok for most nights and we were seated at the same table each night. Note- try for an early reservation so you don’t have to wait for tables. Our waiters were very friendly and served well. The food in the main dining room was usually quite good but the menu repeated with each cruise. Since the ship does a 3 week circuit, it would have been nice to have a complete meal rotation for the 21 days rather than a repeat for each cruise. Probably 10% of the passengers were back to back on each cruise. We didn’t try the specialty dining because of the extra cost. The food in the Windjammer was fair. Breakfast each morning was identical. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to eat there for lunch or dinner.

Room was nice, but nothing special. Nice location about half way from front of the ship activities (theater) and mid ship (dining). Since it was inside, it had a nice mirror on the back wall, which helps to make it seem a little larger. There is room for a king bed, a small love seat, a chair at the built in desk, a small TV, a few cabinets, a closet and a small bathroom. A small refrigerator is there but full of drinks to buy and ours didn't work anyway.
