We just disembarked the Anthem this morning, so I wanted to write a review while the trip is still very fresh in my mind. This was the first cruise scheduled after the disastrous storm that forced the Anthem to return to port a few days into its voyage. It seems that RCCL was too quick to turn the ship around. Many issues were resolved, but we encountered a few that made us quite disappointed in our trip.

First, the good news...

The ship itself is gorgeous. The common spaces are elegant, and I was quite impressed with the layout of the ship. We opted to enjoy dinner in a new restaurant each night. We loved breakfast and lunch in two70 cafe, and although Devinly Decadence had the same cuisine as Windjammer, the space was more elegant and less crowded. Dinner in Silk, Chic, Grande, and Izumi was absolutely delicious. We loved the food at Jamie's Italian, but the service there was lackluster. We had a great lunch in Coastal Kitchen with our suite guest friends, and we enjoyed drinks in the Concierge Club each evening.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Despite the terrible issues with the musty, moldy odor due to the previous week's storm, we enjoyed the spaciousness of our cabin, which was more than enough room for two people. The small balcony had two reclining chairs and a side table, and we were able to keep our sliding glass door open for the majority of the cruise to make the cabin feel cool.

Port Reviews

enjoyed the tour very much, but we would go on our own next time so we could spend as much/little time as we wanted at each stop. Definitely make room for conch fritters!
