We cruise a lot! This was our 5th cruise within a year. We had been aboard the llure of the Seas in 2011, and our children were younger then, and at that time I felt that the ship was too large. On this cruise our children were 12 and 14, and did not seem overwhelming as it did on the Allure when they were younger. The embarkation was easy, the terminal is set up to handle the 6,000 passengers. Although debarkation took over an hour and a half. We were grateful to not have an early flight home.

The ship was clean, but it will soon be time to update the carpets, etc. The staff on this ship was the FRIENDLIEST STAFF WE HAVE EVER HAD ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN. The staff were all wecoming and warm and all crew said hello. Whomever is in charge of the staff on this ship should train all the staff on all the ships, Happy crew makes the biggest difference.

We had my time dining in American Icon. The menus on all of the ships is the same, but the quality and taste of the food was woderful in the dining room. We requested the same wait staff each evening and we sat with them for 6 of the nights. Rachelle Ricohermosa was wonderful, Her service was excellent and she had the warmth of the old time cruise wait staff. She and her assistant Manino were wonderful. Having said that, the food in the Windjammer was mediocre. It was plentiful but nothing to write home about, The food in the Solarium was delicious,
