Let me start by saying, we usually sail out of Florida. We're New Yorkers, so we're eager to get to the warm weather ASAP and maximize our time in the sun. However, during the school breaks, which we're restricted to, the airfare is over 3x what it normally is, so my husband decided to drive to Baltimore (a six hour journey) and sail from there to save a ton of money.

February in New York is anything but pleasant, so our drive was rather treacherous. When we got to the port, the ship was late getting in, so we had to wait almost an hour to park our vehicle and board. The staff on board and at the port did an amazing job of expediting this process. The parking for 6 nights was $90, which wasn't bad considering Manhattan costs $60 for 24 hours.

They boarded us as quickly as possible, and we set sail only a couple of hours late. Somehow, we still made our itinerary of reaching Nassau by Wednesday. However, this required quick sailing through stormy weather and rough waters. Two days at sea in weather where you cannot even go outside is a bit much for some, and I have to admit, we were slightly bored by the end of that stint. If you're used to a larger ship, you may find this one inadequate. The dining options were very limited, as was the entertainment, but we figured we were supposed to be relaxing, so with that mindset, we were ok.

Cabin Review

Premium Balcony

Cabin 9B

Immaculate and spacious. A mini-suite, really! Beds were comfortable, and the bunk beds where our boys slept were very sturdy and roomy, without taking up any more space in the cabin.
