We enjoyed most of our time on Azura. This was our 2nd Caribbean cruise and we chose this itinery as we revisited many of our favourite islands as well as sampling a few new ones.

We flew from Gatwick with Thomas Cook. Before we went I asked to be transferred to a Thomson flight as I had previously had a poor experience with TC. My fears were unfounded …… leg room was adequate, the crew cheerful and helpful, the seats comfortable enough and we both felt the food was very good for a charter flight. The entertainment system was just ok unless you upgraded for an addition £4pp.

A headwind led to a flight of over 9 hours which was a struggle but the busses to the ship were ready on arrival and we were at the port quite quickly. Unlike our previous cruise, the arrival shed was not that busy when we arrived. Yes it’s hot and a little cramped but hey you are on holiday, the weather is beautiful, the staff are cheerful and are doing their best to get everyone through the process and the queue moves quickly. That doesn’t stop the occasional overheard grumble from the queue but that I’m afraid is typical.
