Sail Date: Feb 2016

This is the second time we cruised in the Epic. Overall it is a nice clean well run ship. Some reasons I rated it average rather than Very Good are:

1. Last time we had a balcony, this time we had an inside cabin on 13th level. The space was ok, we only spent time there when sleeping or getting ready to go out. However being inside we discovered that the lighting over the sink area is terrible. In general the bathroom area is poorly lit. Poor for makeup or shaving.

2. The shows were fantastic, we saw Priscilla and Burn the Floor and the Tribute to the Beatles, all were first class. However like the first time we sailed 4 years ago, the Epic theatre smells very smoky. Somehow the ventilation system for the theatre is connected to either the casino smoking area and/or the crew quarters where smoking is allowed. Although I enjoyed the show, I spent the rest of the evening having a minor asthma attack and coughing upon waking up. I complained about this issue 4 years ago, and apparently nothing has been done. I complained to customer relations and they implied it was effects smoke, but there were no smoke effects in Priscilla and only cigarette smoke bothers me. I suggested they turn up the A/C to help the problem. The next show I sat at the top and it seemed a bit better.
