We flew into San Juan the day before we sailed, and stayed at the Sheraton in Old San Juan. This was our 10th cruise and second with Carnival. We arrived at the port at approximately 12:00 noon. There was a slight problem clearing the ship for arriving guests, but the wait was not very long, and the whole process was very organized. From the moment we walked into the terminal, we felt welcomed and appreciated.

We ate breakfast and dinner in the MDR. The meal choices were varied, well prepared, and delicious. The wait staff was friendly, personable, and efficient. For lunch, we tried Guy's Burgers (delicious), Fish and Chips (our only disappointment as the fish batter was too thick), the Deli (good pastrami) and the Mongolian Wok (our favorite). Having such a variety of dining options situated in different places is brilliant. It cuts down on congestion and adds to the fun. We also enjoyed the different bars placed around the main pool.

Our balcony cabin was ready at 1:00 pm and our steward, Troy, was right there to greet us. The cabin was immaculate, with plenty of storage.
