My wife, sister and brother-in-law arrived in San Juan two days early before the March 1st sailing. San Juan was a fun place. We stayed at the Coral Princess Inn in Condado, see my review at tripadvisor.com.
We explored Old San Juan on Saturday, wow what history. We went through the old Fort and took some great pictures.
Sunday March 1st, we left the hotel around 11:00 am and took a taxi to the pier. This was the pier near the San Juan Conference Center. We arrive in about 10 minutes and paid about $26 for the ride, four people with six bags, four large and two carry ons. Had a little trouble figuring out which line to get in for departure. Once we found the line to drop of the big bags we then found the departure line. They did not open the doors until 12:00, but once they did the line moved quickly.
Tiny but space is well used. Our cabin, 8354, had a very loud "squeek" at the cabinet with the mirrors an TV set. I had to wedge a galss between the top and ceiling to stop it. The closet door also banged with the vibrations of the ship, leaving it open stopped that.
The balcony door was difficult to open and close.
The carpets and funiture were soiled and stained and in need of replacement.
Great views from the balcony.
