Just went on our very first cruise. I was so nervous after reading the reviews on this site but it was already booked so we had to go.........thank goodness! It was absolutely wonderful. I was blown away by how amazing this experience was. We took 11 family members and we had the best family vacation ever. I was amazed by the quality and quantity of food. Of note: I have numerous allergies, usually brought on by additives to food. I did not have one single food headache on this trip - which let me know there food is prepared fresh for you daily.
The service was incredible. From our room steward (Ashkom - probably sp sorry) to our waiter (Joseph) we could not have had a better experience. We ended up letting Ashkom hold our little girl, and we NEVER let anyone touch our babies. He was just awesome and super pleasant - made our already good vacation even better. I am always very skeptical about "nice" people who are serving you, but in this situation both Joseph and Ashkom were just genuinely nice, wonderful people. Special mention also to the ladies at the java café in the lobby, I don't know there names but they made my little boy feel so special!
The boys in our group (10,11,12) loved the children's area (pools) on this ship - and basically lived there.
again awesome (using that word a lot). I was actually surprised how much room there was. I kept myself, my husband and our 3 kids clothing in the room and never felt crowded. the balcony was wonderful. highly recommend, especially with a baby
stayed at holiday inn express tampa stadium airport - perfectly adequate - actually very pretty hotel in the back, breakfast was subpar
island marketing was awesome - air conditioned van, loved the drivers. West Bay beach was ok - food was REALLY expensive :(. Took a snorkeling tour which got a little scary b/c of currents but the snorkeling was amazing
I didn't go b/c of my baby but the other family members said this excursion was the highlight of their entire trip
joseph was our guide. We have been all over the world and had numerous guides. He was in our top 3 ever. The ruins themselves are sort of meh (but we have seen tikal so we are spoiled), how I wish we would have had joseph in tikal. He made the experience outstanding!
found a guy selling tours, headed out to a beach away from Cozumel. For me this was the best day of the cruise. I have no idea what the beach was even called. sorry :(
