After reading previous reviews of the Ventura we had the impression that we would be having a month long dose of Hell and being fed nothing more than pig swill by a load of ignorant and lazy scruffy slobs. All done onboard an rusting old tramp steamer. Nothing could be further from the truth.

We had a fantastic time onboard, the food was great and we never had a bad meal in 28 days. It was all well presented and well served by very friendly and capable waiters. Yes there was a small wait sometimes, but there are over other 3000 people onboard too.

The new embarkation process went extremely well and we were called well ahead of our appointed time. Once on we could go straight to the cabin and the luggage was all there. We have never been able to get onboard, unpack and have lunch in plenty of time before muster. Read more
