We stayed in room 1080 - a bit cramped but not bad for a mid-sized ship. This was "Concierge Class". The service of the room was impeccable and I must mention Sheldon, who was simply the best cabin steward we've ever had! Other aspects of this cruise were inconsistent. For example: we could have "appys" in our cabin in the afternoon. For the first several days, I dutifully filled out the form and left it to be collected. One day, they didn't give us another form so I thought that was that - no more afternoon appys. Then about 5 days later, we started getting the form again!

What I really don't like about these cruises is how they try to get you to dine in their "specialty" restaurants when you've already paid a fortune for your food and accommodation in the first place! Then there are the myriad of drink packages and no one seems to know what's included and what isn't. After enjoying a glass of Riesling with my dinner for 2-3 nights, my husband went into one of the other bars one day so that we could have a pre-dinner drink and listen to the entertainment. The bartender in that particular bar said the Riesling wasn't included in our "package"! I thus suffered with a glass of merlot.

The entertainment on this cruise was inconsistent - certainly after being mesmerized by the BB King Allstars on a recent Holland America cruise to Alaska - these bands were disappointing. There were 2 or 3 shows at the main theatre which were choreographed and had costumes that were excellent. The rest of the stuff was almost laughable.
