Cabin: Celebrity Suite

I can't imagine a more beautiful ship- the soaring atrium, sculpture, art work, elegant design and colors.

We were fortunate to get a Celebrity Suite (under Suite Guarantee/gty) last minute offering.

Luminae dining room for suite guests only was outstanding. Impeccable service and great style. Breakfast and lunch were especially good. Dinner offerings were occasionally odd with strange spice/sauce combinations and didn't always appeal but the quality was always superior to the MDR offerings. You can also request an MDR menu in Luminae and we occasionally ordered a few dishes off the MDR menu, however, these ended up being mediocre and disappointing.

Cabin Review

Celebrity Suite

Cabin CS

Great soundproofing- can't hear noise from tv in living room when bedroom doors shut although some light enters from the opaque window.

Very comfortable- good privacy although if you lean out and can see a bit of the deck above and the adjacent corner suite.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Buck Island 3 hour snorkeling- saw turtles, fish and a wreck. Fun experience but the snorkeling is mediocre compared to Hawaii. Nice, friendly staff.

St. Maarten

Enjoyed the fast ferry boat to St Barts- a bit rough but fun. Finally satisfied my curiosity about St Barts- a hilly, dry, tiny island with no water source except rainwater captured in cisterns during the rainy season. Enjoyed lunch at Nikki Beach- good food and beautiful, tiny, perfect beach with no privacy. Walked around downtown- some nice boutiques and had a private taxi tour of the island- could see the entirety in about one hour!

San Juan

PR's economy is in shambles and evident in the poor public transportation options and cobblestone streets in disrepair. A severe drought and lack of water in many neighborhoods has apparently helped the Zika situation temporarily, but after one rain, water is standing throughout Old San Juan- streets are missing cobblestones and so small and large depressions have formed allowing water to pool- you only need a bottle capful of water to breed mosquitoes so this is a very dangerous situation. Our private guide told us her mother and a close friend had Chikungunya a few years ago. Her mother had a full recovery after about a week of illness but her friend, only in mid 20s, had an infection that went to her spine and a year or two later, occasionally uses a back brace now for pain! Horrors! We've had good experiences in the past with Tours by Locals but this particular guide was awful- had very limited knowledge. Bring insect repellent!
