Carnival has a welcome desk at Miami Int. Airport where you check-in, no line, and take a bus transfer to ship. We were relaxing on Lido deck with a delicious lunch and sunshine of Miami Port in no time.
Carnival Ecstasy was a good value, excellent crew, plenty to do or not do. Both port calls (Key West, Cozumel) have plenty to offer. I went Jetski in KeyWest for first time. It was absolutely beautiful and fast. I went Snorkeling at Aquarium beach in Cozumel. It was fine and the beach property was well attended and clean ($15 for beach; $30 includes snorkeling from a boat...)
Punchliners Comedy club was a hoot! We only caught one or two other shows: all good! Wind Star dining room was delicious both for breakfast, brunch and dinner. I opted for the (extra $20) lobster dinner on two nights: it was worth it! Lobster tail was 8 oz-10 oz!
Cabin was adequate. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Cabin steward was fine. There are very few balcony staterooms on this ship, so you pretty much have to settle for ocean view.
