Sail Date: Feb 2016
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We sailed on the Feb 6th sailing on board Anthem. Although our itinerary was interrupted by a storm, I'd like to provide feedback about the ship from my viewpoint.

The Embarkation was Okay. The cruise before ours was busy disembarking and the traffic was a bit of a mess as they had self-park passengers driving in front of the ship to offload the bags prior to parking. I'd say this delayed us about 20 minutes, but once we reached the garage, we quickly paid and had no issues finding a parking spot.

Inside, we checked with a representative holding a tablet. She was able to scan our passports and give us a stamp on our pre-printed boarding passes. This was a little different for us, as we're used to receiving our room keys at check in. But having all of our paperwork done ahead of time online, including uploading pics we preferred, saved us some time at the pier.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We went to our room at 1pm. It was a nice sized room. We had a guaranteed balcony and it looks like they placed us with a rather large balcony on Deck 11. The balcony was big enough for two chairs with ottomans, and still room to walk around. The bathroom was on the small side and didn't have much in the way of storage. However, there was more than enough closet and storage space throughout the cabin. The TV was in front of our bed and didn't tilt any, so you couldn't really watch it from the couch. I normally wouldn't care so much about a TV, but it was our only source of entertainment for a part of the cruise.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

The port is much easier to get to from points South, than going into NYC for Norwegian's terminal. Plenty of parking at the garage too!
