My BF and I sailed on the NCL Escape the end of November of 2015. This was our 3rd time on NCL: NCL Pride (Hawaii) and NCL Dawn (West Caribbean). I tend to get a little sea sick even with the patch so I thought being on a bigger ship would help my sea sickness.

We took a taxi from the airport in lieu of the shuttle. It was $24 one-way but if you pay cash, it is discounted to around $22.

The port was crazy when we arrived around noon. There were people disembarking as well and there were cars and taxis everywhere. Luckilly, there were police officers directing traffic, as well as they could, but it was madness. Once we checked in, we had to wait in a huge waiting room for approximately an hour. There were a lot of big groups travelling together. This gave us a taste of what was to come.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

The ship is new and huge. However, the layout of the ship was odd and it felt crowded. We seem to have to wait in line for everything. We were in a balcony stateroom and it was very similar to the other NCL ships we cruised on. The bathroom did feel a bit bigger. However, the closet was located right next to the bed. There was about a foot between the bed and the closet. I found that to bit inconvenient.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

View of the island

Tortola

The port area is under construction and there is very little to do or see unless you book an excursion.

Nassau

The resort is beautiful and the Dig was interesting.
