This was our 11th cruise and first on Carnival. We sailed out of Barbados. We had some appartment in the middle of nowhere, even the taxi could not find it. Because there where only a few hundred people embarking, this was really fun. No lines, very quick. The cabine was already done before noon. Only the luggage took a while. We where hungry so we went to the lido. The breakfast was just gone, but the deli just started. We ate some warm sandwich with ham and cheese. When the luggage arrived we changed for the pool. The weather was perfect every day, just de last morning there was some rain in Barbados.

We haven't seen many activities, not one show in the Venetian, only on the seaday we noticed some near the pool. On other cruises there was more activitie.

The service was good. Shore excursions where okay, but getting to the busses was very chaotic. Sometimes you didn't know were to go. We had some long excursions and when we got back on the ship around 3 pm we had to hurry to get something to eat because the buffets in the Lido where all closing. Other cruiselines (Costa; Norwegian; Celebrity) do this much better. After closing the buffets, the lines at the deli, pizza and burger were very long. The cabin was fine, great bed, a lot of storage, and a very good cabin steward. Also there were many plugs, even one for 220volt.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6B

Our cabin #2429 was a nice size with much storage facilities. We liked the ocean view window. Our cabin steward kept it very clean and orderly and we were never disappointed with any aspect of the cabin amenities or service.

Port Reviews

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We loved it on the bumpy train. Free cocktails on board.

St. Lucia

Long trip of about 5 hours.

St. Maarten

everything in it, included the airport, french part etc.

San Juan

First to the rainforest were it was raining. Then to the waterfalls, and the vieuwpoint. Back to San Juan to visit the fortress. Then back to the ship. Other passangers went after that to the airport.

St. Thomas

On the kon tiki boat we where sailing along the coast, the glasbottom is nice but dissappointed about what we could sea on the bottom of the sea. After that we spent 1,5 hours on the beach.

Barbados

We saw Barbados only in the taxi.
