This was our 4th Disney Cruise, and up until this point we were loyal Disney customers. We never would have even considered a different cruise line. However, our 7 night stay on the Fantasy was a major disappointment.
Service on the Fantasy was the worst I have experienced compared to any of our other trips. Our servers were working hard, but they had so many tables that they barely had time to take our order. Our meals lasted close to 2 hours because service was so slow (not great with three littles) and there were many times we did not have our drinks until half way through the meal. We also sat so closely to the other tables that our servers could not always get in and out between our tables and we had little privacy from the tables next to us at dinner.
The boat in general was also too crowded. We could not get seats for one of the shows and both of my children had to sit on my lap to watch. The elevators were full all the time, and there were a couple of times that we wanted to take our youngest daughter to the nursery and could not because it was full. We just felt like Disney was cramming people on the boat to an uncomfortable level. Maybe this is just the Fantasy versus the other boats, (we had done the Dream and Magic previously) but it definitely negatively affected our trip.
This was not that special. I would not do it again if I had the choice.
This was a lovely experience. Tortola was beautiful and the beach was wonderful.
This was a convenient port.
