We are a couple in our early sixties and do a Caribbean cruise on small ship yearly. This year we chose Az because of the itinerary. It was our second Azamara cruise. In the past we've done Oceania ,Regent and Seabourne Club Med 1 and Cunard .

We were the first cruise post dry dock.the day prior to sailing we each got a text message and an email saying to board between 2 PM and 4 Pm so we ere not happy that upon arriving at pier we were notified that no one could board till 5 PM due to cleaning and finishing touches. Really didn't mind that it ... would have preferred he told us the day before or even send us a text that morning not to come to the pier until five. Needless to say some of the 'natives were restless'during the long wait. We thought that when we did board the luggage would be in cabin since it was checked pier side 4 hrs prior....not so.

Specialty dining res table was set up right at entrance after boarding. There were very Long very slow lines b/c we were all making our res for entire sailing. Note to AZ.....let us do this on line ahead of time as it was frustrating and archaic!!!
