We had highlights and a couple of lowlights, but overall, enjoyed the rest and relaxation of our vacation.

Pre-cruise - We arrived into Miami the day before the cruise at 3 p.m. We took a taxi to the Holiday Inn, Port of Miami, for $18 plus tip. We walked to CVS to pick up a few things (soda, etc.). I was wishing for some wheels to carry our heavy things back to the hotel. We enjoyed supper at Bubba Gump's at the Bayside Marketplace across the street from the hotel. It was a noisy night at the Holiday Inn, with lots of spring-breakers next door, and an unwanted pizza delivery to our room at 3:30 am!

We had a light breakfast at the Bayside in the morning, enjoying the sun and warm weather. We took a taxi to the Port ($8 plus tip) at 10 am. It was an easy embarkation process. We were on board by 11:30, sitting on the lido, eating our first lunch on board. We were able to take our carry-on stuff to our room at 1:30, and then went back out to enjoy more sun. We had muster drill and then sail-away at 4.
