Traveled with children

My wife and i have been cruising or the last 15 year but have never been on NCL and decided to take our entire family, including 2 grand children on a cruise. It was apparent from the start that things were going to be different on this cruise line. The staff was not very friendly and I suspected the cabin we were in was not as clean as usual so on the 2nd day I purposely clip my toe nails sitting on the couch and they were still on the floor the day we disembarked. We had 4 family members between 28-35 and the night life closed up between 10:30-11:30. Now that maybe alright for us "older folks" but if NCL wants to attract a younger group that won't do it.

The buffet food was just so so and the breakfast meats in the pans we warm at best. Lunch options were about the same as the other ship we have been on. The main dinning room was not much better. We only ate there 2 times. One of those was the last night thinking it would be a little bigger deal and it was as long as you wanted to pay for your steak or lobster. That seemed a little cheap on NCL part. On one of the days we had an early excursion and we discovered that breakfast items delivered to the room were limited 2 pastry items per person, 1 juice and coffee or tea. If you wanted anything more than that you had to pay extra.

They did have a nice area for the grand baby's to go and give the parents some free time. That was not included in the daily gratuity but it was expected those who used the facility should leave a separate gratuity for that service. We agree with that but we do not think children 3 or older should also be charged the same daily gratuity as their parents if they are staying in the same room.

Cabo San Lucas

need to something to cover your face.

Mazatlan

different than the 4X4. Different machines (2 person side by side) Face covering still needed

Puerto Vallarta

The descriptions says any level for horseback. I would not say that is accurate one of the adults in our group ended up walking back from the falls. They path ways were very narrow and steep up and down rocky pathways. Parents with children under 12 should think about another tour.
