This was a great first cruise for our children. We had a great time and will be going again. I myself have cruised 7 times, with Royal Caribbean being a favorite. I find Carnival has too many non stop drunks, and Celebrity a little too uptight and old; these being a big factor in why we selected RC for our pre teens first cruise experience.

Boarding at the Fort Laurdale pier was a mess. If we can avoid it in the future, we will. After no information or signage once we were dropped off we waited for 45 minutes outside in the sun dragging carry-on items, before the first crew members were around and let us know where to go for priority and platinum boarding. Once we skipped the other 1/2 of the boarding line it was smooth sailing until we had a new employee check us in. Both clerks on either side of us waited on 3 groups while our employee figured out why my birth certificate didn't match my driver license sur name, she finally asked the clerk close by to be informed I am now married. I feel the day you ship comes in late and you have a 2 hour line outside you don’t stick the new girl on the computer. -Deboarding was just a crazy and we got off the ship almost 2 hours after our estimated time. Did I mention I will try to skip this port in the future.

The ship has been redone since it's main voyage in 2002 and has been kept fresh. It could use a major deep cleaning (vacuum, dusting and wipe down in public corners) but that would only bother people going slow enough on the inside to notice.
