Embarkation - fine and always annoying, but the treats they served in the terminal were great. Embarkation was normal. First day at sea was a little rough. He took a dramamine and I didn't, but my version of feeling sea sick was that I felt like I'd overeaten - oh, I did, at the buffet. We went to bed early and no one got seasick. Weather on our balcony was great all days. Excursions: Costa Maya - went to power snorkel. Great open bus/truck ride to quiet bay. Nice experience in a small unpopulated bay on the beach. Guatemala - Excellent boat trip (beautiful country) to Ak tenemit the project village and Livingston, the city of Garifuna and visit to beautiful resort with garifuna singer/dancers. Nice, modest lunch. Belize City - Bus tour of Belize City and to Altun Ha ruins - great guide and ruins. Cozumel - easy - just find the beach. We took a cab to Chankanaab, and, my opinion, Xelha and Xcaret (on the mainland)are more beautiful, BUT, Doug had the BEST snorkeling experience of his life at Chankanaab. I had a great time there relaxing. Onboard Excursion - Behind the scenes tour. I could have skipped, but Doug like the kitchens and laundry rooms and the Captain visit etc. We booked all through NCL except the Cozumel excursion. The ship was beautiful. Recently rehabbed. Our room was great - super comfy bed - practical, tight living - but really manageable. A balcony really is worth it. and, we were at the top, middle of the ship - I believe that is a good spot. Miscellaneous: I loved the casino - won a little money, and paid it back... Food was excellent across the board - a lot of variety. We ate most meals at Raffles Buffet and you could easily avoid crowded times. Ate one night at Windows and once at Garden. All good. Germ/sanitizer ball at every entrance - a good thing. Don't know if it makes a difference but, I felt like it did. Service was so good that in addition to the tips that were built in to our room, we tipped extra good helpers on the spot. I always bring many 1.00 bills. Our biggest problem or regret is that we were tired after our excursions and couldn't participate in everything the ship had to offer. Nice that we had the option to do our own thing. I would like to use future cruises as occasions to mingle a little better. But, we had a blast!!!

11078 - I think. Our room was so nice. The balcony was a plus. I thought the bathroom, though small was well laid out. The bed was super comfy and we slept great.

Minor noise from the chairs above being moved across the deck. In te future we'd want the same room.
