This was our 2nd time on Summit out of San Juan---different ports of call. We really like sailing from San Juan because the embarkation port becomes part of the vacation. Embarkation was very smooth and quick. The only jarring note was on entrance to the ship and receiving the glass of champagne, we were met by the sounds of rap/hip hop from the pink-haired dj stationed by the atrium. What about some island music as we were in the Caribbean? None of the passengers seemed to be impressed.
Our cabin 7020 was almost at the front of the ship. It was very quiet, comfortable and clean. And the extra steps to the elevators and stairs didn't hurt us at all. The muster station drill in the Celebrity Theater was extremely well organized (quite an improvement).
On return to our cabin the seapass cards would not work. After being unable to access our cabin for 45 minutes and several trips to Guest Relations, the issue was resolved, not as quickly as we might have hoped, but we understood that it was a very busy time.
