RCI management is a huge disappointment. During our booking process they had extremely poor customer service, unable to override cabin allocation as we had paid in full the day before a Better offer came out, unable to assist with restaurant and activity bookings (we had a party of 4 and most of the bookings I made went through as a party of 2). We were told to manage everything on board. Extremely frustrating. Seems that the call centre manager we spoke to was only trained to answer that he has answered my query without actually answering anything.

As everyone knows the cruise started a day late. That's life and we didn't mind spending an extra day in New York. Problem yet again with the poor communication by RCI.Only contact was by email- what if we weren't on-line? They really should have made contact by phone. When we rang them to get more information we were told we would be rung in the next 24 hours with details -still waiting for that call. To receive an email re new itinerary late the night before cruising is unacceptable. Needed to cancel all shore excursions, request refunds and organise new excursions in a very limited time. Also the ports were a disappointment to us - we had previously sailed to them and we especially planned our trip from Australia and picked this cruise based on the ports. It's a long way to fly... Could have taken a cruise out of Miami.

The drop off at Bayonne was mayhem. We were advised to arrive at 12.30pm. It took the car over an hour to reach the drop off point - poor driver. Didn't get on the ship till closer to 2.00pm and had to go straight to muster. Check in process was a breeze.

Port Reviews

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Registered drivers available at the port. 8 of us in the van. Three hour island tour at $20 per person. Knowledgeable driver. Not much to see on the island - beach club looked good.

St. Martin

DJ was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Free flowing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout (excellent rum punch). Saw KLM flight land - amazing!! Nice island. Great day out.
