just returned from a 3 night cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas. Weekend was fun and we enjoyed out getaway despite some hiccups. Day 2 we had this awful black sludge (I can only guess sewage) come up through our shower and create a huge mess in our bathroom, not to mention awful odor! We called maintenance and it was cleaned up quickly however the smell lingered.. We asked to be moved to a new room but were told the ship was full.

I did not find the staff to be overly friendly or courtesy with the exception of some of the activities staff. Servers in the dining room were good, anticipated our needs and remembered what kind of drinks we liked, etc. food was good but nothing to get excited about. We did not try Chops as we did not want to spend the extra money. There were even items on standard dining room menu that required a surcharge.

Public areas, especially the bathrooms, needed cleaning more often. Lots of activities to keep you busy. We encounter bad weather and were not able to go to Coco Cay but the staff did a great job of getting activities arranged on short notice.

We let them assign us a room...we ended up at the very front of the boat so it was rough sailing. The last night the seas were rough and our drawers and cabinets opened as the boat rocked. Will chose a room in the middle of the ship next time.
