Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cruised with a group of 8 people. This was the 9th cruise for my wife and myself. Embarkation was a disaster. Arrived at the port at 11 am only to wait almost 2 hours to process onto the ship. Was told that this was due to previous cruisers refusal to leave the ship.

On the whole the ship is still in good shape but does show signs of a lack of maintenance in some areas, specifically the bathrooms. On 3 occasions I visited men's rooms that had non working toilets or sinks. Cruise mates had a non functional toilet in their cabin for 4 days.

Food in the main dining room was OK but not great. Windjammer was passable for breakfast and lunch. Ice show was outstanding. Adult comedy show was also very good. RC seams to be selling more alcohol packages and cutting back on bar staff, service was slow at bars through out the ship. Children were allowed into two different bars during the cruise and remained under foot for over an hour each time.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin was functional and large enough for two. Ample storage for clothes and other items. Bed was a little hard but good enough to sleep on. Jose our room steward went out of his way to ensure the cabin was cleaned properly after the first day. Balcony was nice. We used it for breakfast every day.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Picked up promptly at the cruise port and driven to the farm via a short stop in Hell. Turtle farm was interesting and well worth the visit. Was dropped at Calico Jacks after the farm. Overall a good value tour.

Falmouth

River tubing with a visit to waterfalls. The best tour we have ever taken in Jamaica. Very well run from beginning to end.

Labadee

Did not do a tour here. Spent some time on the beach then returned to the ship in time to watch security boats blocking some protesters.
