Decided to try a shorter cruise and go back to Carnival. Enjoyed being back on s smaller ship. Our last cruise was on RC with a bigger ship. It was much easier to find a chair on the decks. The comedy club entertainment was better and more of it on a 5 day than the 8 day on RC. The lounge was big, spacious and comfortable. The main theater was very comfortable to watch shows and the shows were better than RC.
Getting off and on the ship was much better than dealing with a bigger ship and all the other people. The smaller ship does have a disadvantage when it comes to the amount of choices to eat. The food was good, but some dishes have a very small portion. The only way you get a lobster tail is to pay $20.
The biggest thing to be aware of sailing out of Tampa is the possibility of weather delays in the Port of Tampa. The 2 cruises before ours were affected by the weather delays when the port was closed. One cruise lost one day and never got to a port for excursions.
Easy to find, just follow directions they send you. Be prepared to drive the jeep out of town and back in. Our 1st stop was to snorkel. My wife and I, our 1st time. George our guide was great working with us. I am not a swimmer, but learned to float and had a great time. the tour includes entrance to the park(climb the lighthouse for the view) and lunch with a great view. Be prepared for a stop at the tequila place. Trying to sell it to you.
Great outfit. Easy to connect with at port.
Fun feeding the stingrays. Guides will share lots of knowledge, ask questions!
The taxi from the airport was only $25. plus tip. cheaper than Carnival transportation.
