This was a trip of a life-time. The first for most of my expended family. My young family loved our 4 day cruise on Disney Wonder in 2015. It was magical. So we got adjoining staterooms for my parents and my sister and her young family and paid for a 7 night cruise. We've never had a holiday together like this before and I was so thrilled to introduce them to cruising and with Disney I figured it was a sure-bet.
I couldn't believe it when we got lacklustre friendly service and thinly disguised forced smiles from several Disney staff. The universal can-do attitude simply wasn't there.
Our all-inclusive experience was dampened by immediately with up-selling that started with water for our staterooms (REALLY?!) as soon as we arrived and continued throughout the cruise. It was a sign of a different Disney experience to come.
Cabin was very good.
Great fun for the kids!
The Disney excursions were very expensive so we decided to go out on our own! We found everything at a quarter of the price and we had a great time on our own and the tours took less time then the Disney ones.
Went on our own again and had a great time.
Disney was promoting a Sky Ride that went half-way up one of the lower peaks and had a limited view. For a third the price our entire family of 12 got a private tour to 3 much better look-out points (one was looking down at the Disney look-out point.
Had a great time.
