I/we have been on several cruises with other cruise lines. With that being said I think we are able to reasonably compare.... My husband and I are both 48, both work full time as blue collar workers. We save our money so we can cruise every second year or so.
Embarkation went smoothly. I believe we were on the ship by 12:30. Luckily our room was ready, we dropped off our carry ons and went to explore and have lunch. One of the first things we noticed was the faint smell of smoke..
Buffet was ok, all week, just ok. we opted to reserve our meals at the three complimentary dining rooms. Because we reserved, we rarely had to wait. But if you waited until the day of, and wanted to eat around 6, you would be out of luck. We would have enjoyed sitting with another couple or another table of people but freestyle dining doesn't seem to lend itself to this. I think out of 6 dinners, we had a good table location twice. Our service was good. But we have concluded that because there are so many customers, the wait staff do not have the time to chit chat with you. It was hard to really form an attachment to any one individual. Only one person really stood out, and she wasn't even at our table. Kentonia, she just introduced herself the first evening, then through the week, would see us and come over and ask how we were doing. She was quite nice!
Our cabin was the best thing about our whole trip. The size was great, the bathroom was awesome, and the bed was comfy. We were very thankful for our balcony.
Miami was nice. We stayed at Chateaubleau. Do not stay here. The saying,"you get what you pay for" is true.
Black beard's castle. Just too many people to hear what was being said, A wait of an hour to get into the castle. NO way!
Because it rained, being on the beach was not fun.
was terrific. We beat the crowds, a must do!!
It was pouring rain. Went to the Royal bank and came back to the ship.
