I have been on Norwegian twice in the past, as well as RCL twice and Carnival once. That makes this my 6th cruise. For me, the attraction as always been the free food and the fun activities and this cruise was great for that. We got a very good last minute deal and drove down on Friday (16hrs!) stayed outside of the city and parked with New Orleans parking. The shuttle was easy to take, and our driver found himself very amusing.

Embarkation was easy and the line, while long, moved quickly. We arrived and our stateroom was not ready so we went to the buffet.

The dining at the buffet throughout the week was really above expectations. On my previous Norwegian cruise on the Epic, the buffet would close in between meals which was really annoying. This one was open throughout the entire day. The food was actually pretty tasty, especially the Indian food (maybe because the head chef was Indian). Every afternoon they would have a different chilled fruit soup, which I only discovered on the fourth day unfortunately.
