It's been a few years since I've cruised with Carnival and I saw major decline in quality since then. (I'm a "gold" level) The entertainment wasn't as it was before, still nice to have, but not like before. Food was sub par, where I remembered it being fabulous. The meat I ordered seemed chewy/old and I stopped ordering it by the 4th night. Smoking indoors is unacceptable-which included many places on the ship. Areas were very crowded and getting on/off the ship was less than enjoyable. Free perks they used to have aren't available any more, i.e. chocolates on pillows, Welcome Back party, etc... If not for my great company, excellent drink servers, and dinning room wait staff, I would have been disappointed overall.

Ports were fine-felt rushed as expected. Jamaica was dirty and super crowed, as usual, but we managed to find a little spot on the beach to tan. Grand Caymen was beautiful and we had a great time there at the Royal Palms resort. Cozamel was nice, but our original excursion was canceled due to weather, so we went to Chankanabb (not spelled correctly). It was beautiful and they had tons to do. If we go back, I wouldn't buy the excursion package. You'd be better off just paying for the main restaurant and regular bar drinks. We only had an option of one tiny, inconvenient bar and the buffet, which wasn't good. Also, everything shut down at 3 and we had to leave 2 hours early. :(

Ship was always clean and most of the wait staff were amazing, but my biggest complaint is in regards to the way guest services (and the security guard at the time) handled a situation involving another guest vomiting all over me (and four other women) in the night club. Nothing was done to reprimand that guest, including "kicking him out," or flagging his account, etc. After having to clean off my face, my hair, and my dress in the bathroom, I saw that particular guest sitting at a slot machine in the casino-with a beer in hand-still drinking! When I brought this to the attention of the woman at guest services, she refused to do anything helpful and I had to suggest paying for my dress cleaning and drink that was wasted. Even when I asked for a security guard to be called down, since she could not leave her "post," she refused to call for one-only called to discuss what happened with the security guard in the club (whose only consolation to me was, "I've called someone to clean it"). She told me that she was making notes in my account, and I told her I'd speak to someone else the next day, but I was so through with the excuses and fake apologies I didn't go back. I didn't want to rehash that horrible situation and put myself through more anger.
