Not so brilliance of the seas
To say it was a terrible cruise may be a little dramatic. But it started with a pleasant phone call advising that we had been selected to upgrade to a balcony cabin for only 100$. How nice was that. Except when we reminded the person on the phone that we were in an accessible room and please make sure the new cabin was also accessible, there was an uncomfortable pause and "well I didn't notice that let me check and get back with you". Never heard from her again.
Getting on board was a three hour wait in the sun with no information passed on to the hoards of folks that stood in line waiting to get into the terminal. We heard everything from there was a group of Zumba enthusiasts that refused to get off the ship to one speculation that a crime had been committed and the authorities had to interview passengers before the ship could be boarded. Then there was the proverbial computers were down. I understand that stuff sometimes happens but there is no excuse for not communicating with the passengers that have been standing around for hours waiting to board. After three hours of waiting in line the ship was finally cleared to board. We spent five days on the ship and never heard a concrete reason other than comments like, it's complicated, there were computer problems etc, etc. no apologies or explanation just accept it and move on.
There was an odor that came from the bathroom that could not be corrected. Complaint to the customer service desk was ineffective
