When we boarded the QM2 in Southampton and there was no "Welcome aboard" not even a smile as the staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves and consequently ignoring passengers trying to find their way to their staterooms we realised that things had changed since we last sailed on this fine vessel.
Our staerooms 6261 was waiting for us on our arrival with a bottle of bubbles as usual and the room was clean and in a good state of repair.
The ship itself was in good condition with a few places the carpets looking worn and some of the furniture in the lounges were tired and some of the corridors had buckets catching the drips but on the whole pretty good pre its refurbishment.
Cabin 6261 was aft location with easy access to the swimming pool aft, about 6 doors down from laundry and very quiet. We had connecting door but no noise came through.Cabin in good condition.
