We have cruised several times with P&O, but wanted to experience Britannia while she was quite new. Yes, it is big ( but everyone on it would have known this ) and yes I believe some of the balconies are somewhat smaller than may be preferred, but overall, the cruise was great value, the ship was lovely and the crew, without exception, were helpful and professional.
We had an aft suite on B deck(14) and our balcony was huge, with2 loungers, 2 chairs , 2 stools and a table. There was plenty of room to move all of these as required, and place the loungers at right angles to the cabin - facing the sea.
We used the balcony a lot, but friends did advise that all the sun beds round the Lido and serenity pools were covered in towels/ books etc by 6.45 am! However, there were beds available elsewhere later in the day if you looked for them. The reserving of sun beds should be addressed by P&O in my opinion. We heard that there was a serious altercation at some stage after someone removed towels that had remained on beds for a considerable time - I believe a number of individuals were removed from the ship.
Excellent cabin, loads of space and a very spacious balcony. Slightly overlooked by balconies on A deck, but never a problem. No overhang and plenty of sun or shade as required.
Brilliant and great fun. Highly recommmended
Good fun
