Sail Date: Jan 2016
Cabin: Sky Suite 1

Luckily for us (but not for the Northeast) we were on the Equinox, in the Caribbean, during the January 2016 blizzard. Our home city got 28 inches! We were delighted that we chose this date and did not have to deal with the storm.

We have been on the sister ship, so we were familiar with the layout.

At the last minute, we had the option to upgrade to a Sky Suite (this was not free, but definitely worth the extra price).

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

WHAT A TREAT! Beautiful suite. Wrap-around balcony. Having a butler is truly a treat. The best thing is all the extra amenities you receive - Luminae, a new venue for your meals (suites only), Michael's Pub for drinks and appetizers, etc.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

As we were upgraded to a suite, we were on the ship in no time. Of course, no one can go into their rooms until about 1:30pm. The port isn't very pretty on the outside, but that is not an important thing for us. The port inside is clean & well-kept.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

As far as we are concerned, this is a horrible port - Beware of the 'GREEN MONKEYS"...which are right in the front area when you go into the shopping area. Honestly, we didn't go very far & turned around & headed back to the ship.

Barbados

Nice tour; good for picture-taking.

St. Maarten

Very interesting tour. Thought I would freak out with all the butterflies and moths, etc., but I didn't. Hubby loved taking all those photos.

St. Thomas

Shopped and walked. Nice day in St. Thomas.
