We have cruised with RCI 14 times, twice with Celebrity and twice with NCL. We wanted to try a different line and settled on Princess. This review will pass over the ports, excursions and stuff which are not directly related to the cruise line but will cover categories which both lines can be evaluated on.

EMBARKATION - A tie as both lines do a very good job in checking-in their passengers. We did have to wait for the bus transfer from FLL to the ship for 1 1/4 hours which is unsatisfactory.

ROOM - Big advantage to RCI. Princess' outside room with veranda provides less space than its competitor. Princess provides more veranda space and the furniture is not plastic. The open closet concept provides different options in hanging clothes but there is a severe shortage of drawer space for two people. The bathroom size has regressed back to the 1990's where the shower, toilet and sink were all crammed together. Don't the designers learn from their past mistakes? The TV is flat screen which is one of the few pluses for the room but it is stationary and position higher than many would like in their room. The bedding is the clearly the worst of any of any of the lines we have taken.
