This was my second cruise on the Spirit. The first was 11 years ago. I am also a NCL Latitudes Platinum member and cruise once or twice a year. For this cruise, there were four couples traveling together.

The public areas of the Spirit are still well maintained but are showing some age. The balcony suites have aged and are not nearly as nice as those on the newer ships. This Ship does not have a thermal area which we were expecting. There are not a lot of public restrooms aboard and many of these seemed to be closed for maintenance too often.

It appears that NCL has cut back on staffing. It seemed to take much longer now to get the room cleaned than in the past and service in the public areas including bars seemed slow. However, the staff were hustling and appeared to be working very hard. As usual, we befriended a couple of bar staff members and they took very good care of us.

Cabin was OK for us. Many of those around us complained about the bathrooms. Seems that the floors may be failing
