To start I have 13 cruises under our belt and 4 of those were with Royal Caribbean. We wanted a short cruise this time and selected Brilliance as our choice. Royal Caribbean as a whole has been up there with Celebrity as tops in its field. Unfortunately, the cruise on Brilliance was not what was expected. The boarding was flawless and boarding staff were quick to answer any questions asked of them.

Okay, here we go. The cabin was not totally clean when we arrived and not properly accommodating when it came to towels, robes and other essentials. The in cabin safe was broken and interactive menu for checking your charges failed to work even though we had it reset by guest services.

The food in the windjammer was adequate but became repetitive in its menu, not leaving any surprises. We found several of the cafes, bars and specialty restaurants to be good however also found rude staff at the Schooner and R bars and outstanding service at the Champagne and King & Country bars. Our dining room experience was true to Royal Caribbean standards and had great meals and super staff.
