Although Mother Nature was not on our side during our first Celebrity Cruise, the weather could not dampen the spirit of the staff, entertainers or ambiance on the Reflection. We were entertained, fed to the max, and languished in superb accommodations during our cruise. Our stateroom steward was attentive and pleasant. Everywhere we went on the ship we were met with a pleasant hello and smile and cleanliness everywhere. The entertainment was superb and the Opus restaurant food and service were second to none, as well as the food and service in the 2 Specialty restaurants we visited, Qsine and Murano. The reason for the 4/5 rating was for the following reasons:

1. We were not impressed with the cost of services at the Canyon Ranch spa. While the service itself was excellent, the upcharge on an already very expensive treatment was not appreciated nor, we felt required. Be aware of what you're paying for in advance and do not let the staff mesmerize you into additional treatments when you thought it was covered. This left a sour taste in our mouths, so much so that any additional treatments that were booked were cancelled.

2. Still considering prices, we felt the cost of the specialty restaurants was excessive. $50.00 extra per person is the highest we have had to pay for any specialty restaurant on any cruise ship we have been on. Considering we have already paid for our meals and gratuities, we felt a more appropriate $25 - $35 per person should have been charged. All things considered the service and food were exceptional.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Our cabin was spacious, fully equipped, well organized and very clean. Our room steward, Vendi and his staff were always pleasant and attentive and kept our ice bucket filled, awesome.

Port Reviews

Miami

While the day was cool and very windy, the storage of luggage was very much appreciated and allowed us to enjoy the day without lugging everything around with us. Due to traffic delays, which were not taken into consideration by the tour company we had no time to "hop on and hop off" as the tour offered. Still, our tour guide was informative and pleasant.

Cozumel

Our tour guide Jesus was very informative and while being so his tour and talk left us little time for touring the ruins on our own or for shopping. It would have been nice to walk the area on our own to take some additional pictures but there was not enough time. The village itself did not look in any way like the tour depicted on the website.

Cozumel

I believe this tour was part and parcel with the Mayan Ruins excursion. The ruins as stated above were very interesting, the beach was cold but beautiful.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

While we had intended to take a catamaran and snorkel tour, this excursion was cancelled due to the high winds. The tender boats were also nearly cancelled but we did manage to get ashore. The shopping and food were very good. We commend the staff for managing the tender boats and ramps under extremely trying conditions.

Ocho Rios

We very much enjoyed climbing the falls and we were impressed with the guides. After we left the falls, part of our excursion was to visit the Dolphin Cove. We were not impressed with the captivity of the dolphins. They appeared stressed and while we only observed the people encountering them, we felt the captive nature of the tour was less than ideal and stressed the animals, including the shark and the iguana, also in captivity. We were not happy that we paid to visit a place that held these animals captive. On a positive note, the gardens were beautiful.

Nassau

While we have been to Nassau before, and we were not expecting to come to this port on this cruise, we enjoy Nassau. It is friendly, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed Greycliff and the chocolate factory, again, as with our last trip here. We were disappointed to have missed CocoCay and our shore excursion there.
