just had a little three day trip ex Brisbane and returning to Brisbane. Haven't been on a cruise since I was 19, now 54 so some years ago. My husband's first time. Room and facilities very good, especially considering the cheap price. We had a double cabin plus balcony on 9th level. Very pleasant. Servicing of cabin very good. The meals ranged from average to good through to excellent (the Luke Mangan Salt restaurant). We didn't get into the Asian restaurant but people raved about it. We did a whiskey tasting for a fee and went to a few of the free activities. Overall very enjoyable. We also did one of the Edge's activities - these are the more action activities - we did the flying fox and it was fun. Others were clearly enjoying their climbing and rope activities.

Where the place really let us all down was in their organisation. You had to line up to book the activities, and the booking was so rigid that each staff member was responsible for certain activities, be blowed that the line of people waiting to book in was very long and all waiting to book many of the same activities, so some of the staff members were doing nothing whilst others were busy - meanwhile some activities were booked out and they never bothered to announce this so people were remaining in line for over an hour only to be told eventually when they got to the top that their preferred activity booked out.

Same with restaurant bookings - we were told you had to book the same day, from 8am, for the restaurants where you had to reserve, and that we had to turn up rather than phone. We turned up early at 7.40am expecting to be waiting til the bookings opened at 8, but planning to be in line early. We got there and found that there was a staff member already on the desk and had ben taking bookings for some time - and that we who were lining up were being usurped by people calling on the phone to make bookings! Certainly felt sorry for people turning up at 8 and expecting to be able to make a booking. We heard from a number of people that they waited in line for some time only to be told restaurant already booked out - why not announce this to the lineup?
