we arrived at Port Everglades 1:00 pm and dropped the car at Park and go. With in 15 minutes our bag was checked and we were in line to check in. The boarding was very quick and well organized and with in minutes we were on board and ready for Coco Cay....we thought. As soon a s we boarded our room was ready. This was our 8th cruise and our 3rd on Celebrity. I work out of town a lot so we saw this quick 2 night cruise for $139 for an Ocean view and booked it. We booked a Ocean view guaranty and expected to be put on deck two but did not care seeing it was only 2 nights.

The day before the cruise we got our room assignment and was pleased to see that we were in cabin 7001 in the very front of the ship. We did not know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised when we got to the room. This room was huge compared to the standard room and even seemed bigger than the balcony rooms we have had in the past. The large porthole window overlooked the Helipad and straight out the front of the ship. When you look at the view from the bridge on the TV that is the same view you have from this room. The weather the day of departure was stormy and we wondered if we would be able to be tendered in Coco Cay.

After the muster drill the Captain announced that due to the weather he made a decision to go to Nassau, Bahamas instead of Coco Cay. (good choice) We had select dining and went to dinner at 5:45 and were seated at a table for two by the window. Our dinner and service was quite good. We made a reservation for the same time the next night and everything was as good as the first night. The weather in the morning was very cool and windy so our snorkel excursion was cancelled. We ended up taking a private tour around Nassau and had a wonderful day. The entertainment on the first night was their production show of I-Hollywood and was very entertaining. The second night was a comedian named Rondell Sheridan and he was the best comedian I have seen on any ship! He was hilarious! As always Celebrity provided us with a good room, good service and a very nice cruise.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 4

Cabin 04

This room is at the very front of the ship facing forward. The porthole window was very large and in front of the bed so you could see out while laying in bed.

the room is quite a bit larger than a regular room. I think it might even be bigger than the balcony rooms we have had in the past. There is a fridge, flat screen TV, hair dryer and plenty of storage in the closets. The bathroom was kind of on the smaller side but the shower was a little larger than a standard ocean view room.

being in the front of the ship you might feel a little more motion than normal but it was not a big deal to us. Also when docking you hear the bow thrusters doing their job too. If I had one negative it would be that the serve door outside in the hallway needs to have the dampener adjusted as it slams when the crew come in and out of it. I would not hesitate to book this room again for any length cruise.
