Sail Date: Jan 2016

We had our plans with friends canceled at the last minute and this cruise became plan B. One week before the cruise sailed we got a GREAT deal on an oceanview cabin. We normally plan our cruises months sometimes a year in advance. Planning for me is part of the fun.

We sailed on the NCL Jade out of Houston, January 16 – 23, 2016. We flew from Kansas City to Houston the day the ship sailed (on a flight with a connection in Dallas) needless to say, I was a little nervous. We normally fly in the day before. When we purchased the cruise one week before, we also purchased transfers and the 4 specialty dining package. We had cabin 5608 – good location for us.

Our flight arrived in Houston 10 minutes early (we were there before noon) and since we only had carry-on bags we made our way to the NCL transfer desk in baggage claim. Easy to find and we were on the list. We waited with others about 20 minutes are then were boarded the bus. The bus ride was just over 30 minutes and then we arrived at the ship.

Cabin OB

The oceanview cabin was located in the middle of the ship. Like the view from the window. Plenty of storage space. Toilet area very small. Cabin was fine for 2 people
