After reading so many negative reviews we didn't know what to expect from our cruise on the Norwegian Epic through the western Mediterranean. The ship was very clean and the public area were nicely decorated. Our cabin was bigger than we expected and well appointed. We had a Spa Mini-Suite with a shower instead of a bathtub and were actually quite pleased with the setup of the toilet, shower, and in-room sink. There was so much storage space for our things we never filled half of it up.

To those who commented on the "slowness" of the main dining room service, I have a gentle response. It was nice not being hurried along by the wait staff because another group was scheduled to eat in two hours. Having an open dining concept meant that we could take our time enjoying the food, conversation, and company rather than scarfing down a meal quickly so the next group could eat at 8PM or 10PM.

I am not sure who had cold meals but we never did at the buffet, the main dining room, the Taste dining room , or the specialty dining rooms (which we thoroughly enjoyed).

Spa Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M9

Loved the cabin - it was spacious and the bed was soooo comfortable. Soundproofing between the cabins was perfect. One recommendation, however, would be to have a way to pipe in announcements to the cabins as it is difficult to hear them through the doors.
