We've been on 8 Princess cruises and 12 with other lines. it's been my favorite until this cruise. It's not that it was bad but it wasn't as good as others we've taken with Princess and I think it's because they are cutting back, especially on the entertainment. I can remember watching the show in the Princess theatre and then rushing to catch another show in the Explorer's lounge. on the few occasions they had an actual show in the lounge, it was scheduled so it was near impossible to get a seat in there.

I also noticed some of the games that were once played in the afternoon were now in the evening. Now, if you're a trivia fan - this is the cruise for you! at least 5 times a day including evening. it obviously is a cheap way to entertain the masses. Also, if there is a production show or comedian in the theatre, you need to get there as early as possible or plan on standing. we would go directly from dinner and people were already seated. sometimes 45min - hr. the show didn't last that long! the shows were scheduled around 8 & 10 pm. you might want to keep that in mind when scheduling your dinner. There were 3 production shows on a 10 night and 2 comedians. Don't miss the "newlywed game" or the "cooking show". Mostly, I thought this cruise was a bit boring during the day. what happened to the early afternoon movies inside?

the food was very good on this ship. We ate in the Botticelli dining room. the bread was fantastic - crunchy and airy. our table had a hard time pushing the bread basket away. the Steak was hit and miss. we never eat in the specialty restaurants - i'd rather take that money and use it off the ship at home. The buffet always had something good. just one day, I noticed the salad was rusty and they seemed to run out of items but it was as you'd expect for a buffet. it struck me odd that every morning they had mortadella and salami for breakfast but never for lunch. The BBQ on Princess Cays, they ran out of some food early like the cheese for the hamburgers.

Room has a large open closet with plenty of space for clothes, luggage and use as a dressing room. it also has a safe within a closet with shelves. It needs a handheld shower since the stall is so small. we had no issues with the a/c or plumbing. our steward, Ramesh was excellent. if I were to complain, it would be about the refrigerator. since this ship just came out of drydock, wouldn't you expect the frig to have it's shelves, etc. ours was completely gutted. The mattress and pillows were excellent.
