This was a short 5 day cruise to Nassau and Grand Cayman. Our balcony stateroom was on deck 8, by the front stair/lift core, unfortunately without our preferred room layout of the couch by the balcony. We like this class of ship, it has a more contemporary feel to its interior design and the public areas are very spacious. This was a short cruise and it had a much younger clientele with lots of men walking round with bottles of beer in their hands, not perhaps the sort of classs Celebriy is trying to encourage - and they didn't take much notice of 'evening chic'.

We prefer Select Dining and a table for two, ideally by the balcony edge overlooking the main dining area below, and managed to secure it every evening through Marlena, the very helpful hostess at the front desk. The waiters were efficient and the sommelier friendly – we are generally very happy with the MDR for dinner but tried the Tuscan grill on the first night on a reduced offer – the steak was OK but we would not go again, the atmosphere is a bit bland. The food in the MDR was fine, and no problem in finding something acceptable. We did feel that the choice on this 5 day cruise was not the same as we have had on longer cruises - no prime rib and no lobster.

We had the ‘Classic’ beverage package and the waiters were happy to serve it. We are Elite Plus members so had the option of free drinks in the early evening and this time it was by voucher, it all seemed to work well. We also had 240 minutes of free internet, more than enough for 5 days though the actual internet performance needs to improve.
