First, critics who mention the condition of the ship are partially correct, the Millennium is showing her age and has some tired areas, but she is due shortly for retrofit.

As for the noro virus outbreak, not unusual in this age for the cruise industry, the crew and officers kicked into high gear to control the illness. We can always tell when noro virus is creeping about as procedures change in the handling of food making it slightly less convenient. But the crew was fantastic in terms of how they responded even though one could sense the wear and fatigue from the extra measures.

On the positive side, service in the dining room was outstanding, even if slight delays are encountered in select dining when everyone arrives at the same time (best to book a time in advance). Food selection was good, with an Asian choice at every meal.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

Decent cabin, standard for a balcony room, but showing wear and tear. Cabin stewards were very good and helpful.
