First up....we are not seasoned cruisers and have been on only two other cruises previously.
We did the Melbourne > Wine Glass Bay > Port Arthur > Hobart > Adelaide > Melbourne 7 night cruise and loved it.
I will start by saying that unfortunately the embarkation process was not a great experience and we initially hoped that it was not a sign of things to come. Moving through the first sections, health forms etc was great but then there was an hour delay in a very cramped waiting area before we went through the security and onto the ship. Once things stated moving all went rather smoothly but and it really seemed as though the ship was just not ready to receive passengers by the assigned time.
The room was in good condition (balcony room) and we were very happy with its cleanliness and service provided by the stewards. We were mid-ship on deck 11 and fund it a decent location on the ship. Level 12 and 11 balconies are rather private however decks 10 and below are visible from above. There was one issue with the toilet but it was resolved quickly. Have a think about the direction your ship will travel in relation to the coastline you may be passing by and book your cabin on the appropriate side of the ship.
Great day in and around the museum. Took the ferry over to it.
Excellent and spooky place. Been before and loved it and happy to go back when it was a but warmer than last time.
