So for some background - Family - myself, wife, daughter (6 yo) and son (4 yo). This was 14th overall cruise, 3rd with RCCL (we are usually NCL cruisers).

Embarkation:

We live close enough to Cape Liberty that we were able to drive in and park at the garage next to the terminal. At $20 per day (prepaid) it was a relative bargain. It's very close to the terminal and made life very easy both arriving and leaving. We arrived at the port early (9:40 am) but that was no problem. We dropped luggage, parked and were checked in and waiting by 10:00 am. We had done online check-in including pictures and CC and pre-printed our Seapass. This made things extra-speedy. We went to a rep with an ipad, she checked our travel docs and we were through security all in about 10 minutes (maybe). We did have to wait about an hour, but it went by very quickly. The seating in the terminal was pretty standard and they had comp OJ and water to drink. Overall a very good experience.
