We (4) are experienced cruisers over the years. My wife and I honeymooned on an NCL ship 32 years ago and it was great. BUT reviews have not been kind and even some travel agents discouraged us from going NCL. But we wanted to hit New Orleans and the Western Caribbean and try a different line than we've had over the years. Our last cruises have been terrible and fun ships were no longer fun.

We went with direct reservations on the phone- no sweat. We wanted adjoining rooms and balconies and that was no problem. From our arrival at the pier to the rooms and the whole process was easy and staff was great. We liked the rooms and décor of the ship- none of the glitzy circus gaudy look, nice wood, quiet patterns and paint, very soothing as well was the whole ships décor-hope they keep it that way during the re-furb.

Main dining was great- we preferred the Aqua for the ambiance but both were nice and food was good with a good and different variety each night. Service-excellent. Selection and presentation-same-excellent.
